Meanwhile, cycling enthusiasts can paddle through the cycle/pedestrian path that goes throughout the Maggia Valley. For easy day trips, the towns of Locarno and Ascona on Lake Maggiore are about a 40-minute drive, boasting beautiful promenades, historical landmarks, and vibrant markets. Ascona is also an ideal gateway to the magical Brissago Islands.
